In the 1980's the early MICROROLLING® mills offered wire producers a new cold rolling concept as an alternative to traditional wire drawing. This Properzi technology proved so successful for nonferrous metals that it quickly entered the ferrous market. At present it serves not only for breakdown of nonferrous rod of copper, zinc or aluminum, but also to resolve many of the problems associated with hot and warm processing of their alloys.

The latest generation of MICROROLLING® mills are used worldwide for different applications, particularly in the industries such as CO2 welding wire, FCW welding, stainless steel, rapid work hardening materials and tool steel materials. The advantage of MICROROLLING® is very evident when working particularly difficult to draw materials such as Copper-Phosphorus, Copper-Zinc, mechanical alloys of Aluminum, composite or clad materials, Tantalum, Titanium or other exotic materials and alloys.
